Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Popular California Coast
A chopper soaring near a popular California coastline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.
Videos posted on social media capture the helicopter starting to spin above the beach then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palms and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters reported five people were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

The department said the helicopter was connected to an regular “Cars and Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
