Vinicius Jr Issues Sincere Sorry to The Madrid Club Supporters

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has scored 5 goals in ten La Liga outings so far this term.

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his reaction when substituted in Sunday's intense El Clasico victory.

He was substituted in the 72nd min and showed his annoyance by walking immediately off the pitch.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the dugout and, after his team's 2-1 win, tried to confront the opposition's opposing player during unsavoury post-match incidents.

"Today I want to express regret to all the Real Madrid fans for my response when I was taken off in the Clasico," the player shared on his account.

"Just as I have previously expressed during this morning's session, I would like to express regret anew to my team-mates, the organization, and the president.

"Occasionally emotion gets the better of me because I constantly desire to win and help my team. My competitive character comes from the affection I feel for this institution and each thing it stands for."

He joined Real from Flamengo in the year 2018 for millions and has notched triple figures in 335 appearances.

But his future in the Spanish capital is unclear with rumors in the past few months indicating that Los Blancos would think about allowing the 25-year-old depart if they got a suitable offer.

When the winger was substituted on that day, TV coverage from coverage provider Dazn recorded him stating: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I leave, I'm going."

In his most recent statement on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep battling constantly for the benefit of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
